Enlighten Forum Panelist, “Knowing Your Rights: at the Office, Onsite, Offsite”

Biography

Mallorie’s journey embodies strength, resilience, and determination. In 2010, she embarked on her career as a Union Laborer, and currently balances the demands of the job with the joys of raising two amazing little boys as a single mom.

Mallorie’s hands-on experience in traffic control and concrete rehabilitation on our nation’s highway system shaped her professional journey. Eager to share her expertise, Mallorie became an ANSI certified instructor at the Laborers apprenticeship training center where she taught for 5 years before becoming her local’s first female business agent.

Her dedication and drive caught the attention of the Washington and Northern Idaho District Council of Laborers, where she now serves as the State Regulatory and Policy Coordinator. In this role, Mallorie has had the opportunity to be a relentless advocate for laborers’ rights and safety.

She has championed legislation for automated speed enforcement in work zones via her work with the USI committee, to now working on HB 2266 to address the sanitary conditions on work sites for all workers. Mallorie continues to look for pathways to make for a safer, more equitable future for all workers.
